peacefully after a full life of 92 years on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Cloisters of Deland, under the
care of Kindred Hospice of Daytona.
Charlie had been a resident of Deland since 1993, moving from Palm Coast, FL and Rockland County, NY
before that. He was born in Nyack, NY on July 2, 1928, the eldest son of the late Charles M. Millspaugh,
Sr. and Dorothy E. Conklin Millspaugh. A retired manager of real estate operations & appraisals with
Orange & Rockland Utilities and United Water Resources, Charlie was a member of the First United
Methodist Church of Deland, FL as well as a former member of the Palm Coast United Methodist
Church, Palm Coast, FL. He was a veteran who served in the US Navy during World War II, a member of
the VFW, past president of the Palm Coast Lions Club, a member and Past Master of the Rockland
Masonic Lodge #723, Nyack, NY, and a former member of the Clarkstown School District Board of
Education.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth (Holliday) Millspaugh, three daughters, Lori E. Smith
of Chester, NY; Holly M. Berlangero of Port St. Lucie, FL; and Carolyn M. Stanford of Wellington, FL, one
son, Keith H. Millspaugh of West Nyack, NY, one brother, Dr. Kent B. Millspaugh of Nashville, TN, ten
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Charlie will be cherished always and will be remembered
by his smile, sense of humor, friendship, love of music and dancing and most of all his love of family.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Deland at a later date.
