On July 10, Dr. Carol Thomas passed away at her home in Palm Coast. She held a PhD in Literature and Psychology, a DD from Pittsburgh Theological Institute and three masters degrees. She taught with distinction over the years at a number of centers of higher learning including the University of Connecticut, Bowie State University and Cameron University. She also maintained a long practice in individual Psychotherapy. In addition Carol has published seven books of original poetry, recently, she was awarded the Florida State Gold Medal for non-fiction for a biography of Merlin Stone that she co-authored. Carol also was a noted photographer and a champion equestrian. She is survived by two sons, and her husband of 53 years.
