Bruce Brady 81, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away at home with his devoted wife at his side on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was born on October 1, 1941 in Canton, Ohio. Bruce was raised by his grandparents, Arthur & Alice Brady. He graduated from Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach and then joined the US Air Force. He was stationed in Abilene, Texas where he met and married his first wife, Syliva Loudermilk. During his time in the military he founded the folk band, “Brandy Wine Ramblers” and was a founding member of the Turlingua racing team. Bruce was a man of many adventures and he began his working career as a Pizza Hut Manager. He took great pride in his slogan “Get Your Butt to The Pizza Hut.” He decided to move to Holly Hill, Florida to be closer to his mother, Joan Enid Brady, and raise his two daughters. He worked at Father Lopez High School as a teacher in Art & Drama. When his love of cars took over, he then worked as a Porsche mechanic in a small specialty garage. Bruce then became a photographer with the Daytona Beach New Journal and loved being in the center of all the action in town. His final and most rewarding position was being the Assistant Technical Director at the Flagler Auditorium for 23 years and retired at age of 78. After the passing of his wife of 48yrs, Sylvia, he was fortunate to find love again with his current wife, Viktoriya.
They married after a short courtship and enjoyed many adventures together being members of Triumph Club of North Florida. They attended many classic car shows including the 2020 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. He will always be remembered for his unending knowledge of cars, cameras and basically how to fix anything. During hurricanes Bruce would help his neighbors with generators and always be willing to help with car problems. Donations in his memory may be made to the Flagler Humane Society. Survivors include his wife, Viktoriya; daughters, Brenda (Jim) Webb, Jennifer (Michael) Cook, grandchildren; Sydney Webb, Eva Cook, Amy Cook and Veronica Cook, cousins; Connie & Kathy Brady and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends.
A memorial gathering for Bruce will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136. Following the gathering will be a graveside service with military honors at 10:30 AM at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174.
