Dr. Decker was truly  man of character. I had a crown come loose,he was in Tallahassee at the time and drove to Gainesville and reseated the crown on a Sunday after opening up his office just for me. Unbelievable but true.

And even a better human being! He left a legacy of uncompromising honesty and integrity. He bled orange and blue and proudly represented the “Gator 🐊 Nation!
He definitely left a loving legacy and touched many souls!

Very sad to learn of Brian’s passing. We spent countless hours together in gymnastics gyms watching our daughters on the gym floor and also as his patient in his dental office. He was an ideal dentist who always put me at ease. I’ve missed him every time i go to the office since he retired. May he rest in peace.

We were all so very shocked and saddened to hear of Brian's death.  We are so sorry for your loss.  He was one of the nicest man on the planet. As a Dentist and a soccer Dad he was the epitome of thoughtfulness and compassion.  Some people make the world a better place just by their every day actions. Brian was one of those people.  Many hugs and prayers to all of you as you try to find your way without his physical presence.  I know the spirit of his life will last forever in his children and the other lives he touched.

I was stunned when I found out about Dr. Decker’s passing! 
          I met him at the old office near Red Lobster  when he was seeing Dr. Avan’t patients one afternoon. I immediately was aware of his kindness, of his gentleness, and mainly, the aura of contentment he transmitted to his patients. 
Later on, I saw him for an extended period of time but I considered  every appointment a gift. Very often he talked about his family, about his daughter getting married, and about grandchildren. 
I can’t imagine what they are feeling at this moment. 
My heart goes out to all of them, as well as the staff in his office. 
   This is such a loss for the  world, but such  a gain for the heavens!

My family and I have had many fun memories with Brian and his family. He was such a warm and friendly man, always welcoming.  He left us with many heartfelt memories and good deeds throughout his lifetime.  He will surely be missed by all of us!

That Brian should finish his exemplary life finally at the beach is appropriate, but all too soon. when Deckers first moved to our university city and lived way out west of town , the sole street light on Newberry Road marked their street’s intersection! As the Oaks Mall was developed nearby, Brian contributed to the good life in a growing city; he located his dental practice in the same vicinity and reared his family out on the west side, while still loyally going into a downtown church to serve joyfully. His decline and passing leave a void in our lives, but sweet memories of a great guy and a life well lived.  -Bob Falzone

I am so sorry to hear about Brian. So many wonderful memories of seeing he and Kathy at Creston House through the years.

Brian was a fighter.  He fought back hard against a horrendous disease that took him from this world too soon.    Everyone should know that no matter what physical struggle he was facing, and there were many,  he always arrived to Physical Therapy and his beloved Rock Steady Boxing Class at the REBLOOM center with a large SMILE on his face and a kind hearted, positive attitude.  His family and friends rallied around him and fought back with him.   He was a beautiful man with a beautiful family and we will all miss him dearly.     

This world has lost a fine man of great character. My heart goes out to his family. Before I became a patient of his, I insisted on interviewing him to be sure he wasn’t too scary for me. He had me hooked with “hello.” His calm, caring, and competent presence helped me overcome my fear of his profession. And though I knew him only professionally, I feel with certainty those traits imbued his personal life as well. I am grateful to have known him and thankful he has been healed.

What a great man and fantastic dentist.  He will be missed...

Terribly sorry to read this about Dr. Decker.  I first met him around 1990 when the office was located in the slanted building near Red Lobster where he worked with Dr. Avant.  He was truly the nicest man ever….always kind and thoughtful to me and my daughter, Chelsea.  He genuinely cared about his patients and I never saw him when he wasn’t smiling or making cute jokes.  

I’m praying for this family because this is such a loss of a very fine man and I am sure many are struggling to cope with this.  

Dr. Decker, you were adored by many and we all will miss you.
