She was born July 10, 1939 in New York City, daughter of Anthony and Hilda Roppolo.
Mrs. Maggio worked for the New York City Public Schools for years, then moved to Louisiana in 1984. She worked in sales for Dillards for 20 years. She enjoyed plants, flowers, puzzles, word games and traveling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She leaves her husband, Sam Maggio, III of Palm Coast, two daughters, Lisa Anne Kogel of the Bronx, NY., and Ellen (John) Perrino of Hedgesville, WV., and one son, Stephen Wiest of Mount Joy, PA. Five grandchildren, Samantha, Benjamin and Daniel Kogel, Lauren and John Christopher (Amanda) Perrino. Two great-grandchildren, Tyler Almonte and Emerald Battista. Two brothers, Anthony (Nora) Roppolo and John Roppolo, both of St. Augustine.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, November 21st from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, where Mass will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place Wednesday November 22nd at 9:30 AM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
