Ruth Bennett

Ruth A. Forsythe Bennett of Victor, WV went to be with the Lord, on December 23, 2015. She was born June 19, 1950 in Montgomery, WV, the daughter of Claude Z. Forsythe and Marie Forsythe Ball. Husband, David C. Bennett, survives her. They were married for 47 blissful years. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Ansted, WV. Ruth was a devout Christian, humble, full of life, and loved by all. She loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. She is also survived by children and spouses Kimberly Layton and James of Victor, Cindy Chapman and Eric of Beckley, Brandon Bennett of Bluefield, and Danielle, Kristi, and David Bennett Jr. of Victor; siblings Steve Forsythe of Duck, David Ball and Amy of Duck, Beverly Hawkins and Frank of VA, Rose Lotts and David of Victor; grandchildren Luke Morehead and Jessica, Darren Morehead and Amanda, and Brittany Layton; great-grand children Gracie Jo and Kaylynn Morehead; life-long friend Jane Benger, as well as many other faithful friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Claude Z. Forsythe and Marie Forsythe Ball and granddaughter, Rebecca Morehead-Horn. Funeral services will be 11 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Mike Angelona and Rev. Dan Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday, December 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
