Paul was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia where he attended Collins High School and was employed as a belt boss for Donaldson Mining Company until their closure. He then relocated to Hickory North Carolina. Most recently moving back to West Virginia to be with family.
Paul loved Harley Davidsons, NASCAR, and the ocean. Paul was most proud of his four grandsons and two daughters.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Beulah Martin of Oak Hill, his three brothers Donald, Delano and Danny Martin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters Paulalynn ( John ) Humphrey, Alisha ( Randy) Church, his four grandsons Jonathan Humphrey, Austin Grimmett, Caden ( Macy) Humphrey and Gage Church. His only nephew Danny David (Artina) McCabe of Toledo, Ohio and the mother of his daughters Donna.
To honor Paul’s wishes there will be no service however a private celebration of life will be held at Myrtle Beach South Carolina at a later date. Paul often told his daughters some of his best memories were their vacations at the ocean together as a family during miners vacation week. Paul’s final resting place will be at Jeannette Cemetery in Hico, West Virginia.
