Joyce Faye Snead

Today, June 3, 2023, our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend truly belongs to Jesus. Joyce Faye Neely Snead, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away surrounded by family after a long illness.

Joy, born April 28, 1948, was the daughter of Frances and Shelby Neely of Alderson, WV. She was preceded in death by both parents.

Joy was a graduate of Beckley College and Concord University. She was an employee of Fayetteville Federal Savings and Loan. She taught Adult Basic Education at Fayette County VoTech and was a substitute teacher in the Fayette County School System.

She was an avid gardener who loved landscaping and working with her flowers.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Sammy, with whom she was married to for 52 years; precious daughter and her husband, Neely and Matt Harvey; two grandchildren, Joah and Audra Harvey; daughter, Tammy Belmont, three grandsons, Austin, Cameron and Samuel Belmont; two sisters, Judi Neely Ballard and husband, Scott of Lewisburg and Shelby Jeanne Neely of PA.
