Ruth Averill McKay, age 94 passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023 at her residence in Vienna, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence H. Averill and Margaret Mae Wood Averill, her husband James Ross McKay, Sr., as well as her son James Ross McKay, Jr., her brother Richard Averill and her granddaughter Tiffany McKay.She is survived by her daughter Kathleen McKay, and her son
Lawrence McKay,Daughter-in-law Lisa McKay, seven grandchildren, Kristen, April and her husband Josh, Kelly and her husband Matthew, Nicole, Jimmy, Maggie and Annie, 10 great-grandchildren; Riley, Summer, Troy, Autumn, Savannah, Maverick, Hope, Hunter, Matthew and Casch with another girl on the way in March.
