Mrs. DuLaney was such a beautiful person.  She embodied the spirit of kindness, generosity and faith at Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church where we both attended.  She always had words of praise and encouragement for me when I served the church, and she kept the best interest of the members of the congregation in her heart and mind.  I will miss her very much. Ruth DuLaney was the most beautiful woman I have ever known.  I will miss her very much.
 
I try very hard not to dwell on her departure.  Instead, I strive to keep these two thoughts in the front of my mind:
 
 - Can any of us think of Ruth and not remember that beautiful smile and those welcoming arms reaching out to you every time she saw you?
 
  - Today, this very minute, Ruth is enjoying several beautiful smiles.  There's one from Carl, one from Granny and one from her beloved Saviour, whom she faithfully served her entire life.  And they shall all dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
 
It just doesn't get any better than that.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Ruth Dulaney and send my sincere condolences to Carla Belle.  I met the Dulaney family 42 years ago when my friend, Joan, and I visited the States in 1969 with the Methodist Missionary Society.  We stayed with the family for approximately one week and had a wonderful time.  Three years ago we met up again in Mount Vernon for a reunion and at that time she looked to well and it was so lovely to see her and Carla again. She was a lovely lady and will always be in my heart with fondest memories.

When I first met Ruth Dulaney I fell in love with her right away. I thought of her like a 3rd grandmother. I married her god son 3 year's ago and she was excited and happy. We were saddened when we found out that she had passed away. Thank you for being a part of my life. We love you Ruth.

I am so sorry for your loss.  No one wants to lose a loved one no matter what their age may be.  However, try to think of the joy that will be when God will "wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more" and then we will be able to enjoy countless generations to no end. Again, please accept my sincere condolences.

We were saddened to learn of Dear Ruth's passing.  We shall always remember her smile and generosity to all who met her.  She was a true Christian lady whose charity extended widely in the community and to all her friends and family.  She and Carl were faithful pillars of their church.  Dear Carla, may you find some comfort in the memories of the times you shared together, especially with Andrew, and in the knowledge that she now rests, without pain, in the arms of Our Lord.
