On Sunday, August 28, 2016, of Fairfax, VA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse of 48 years, Charmaine K. Groettum; loving father of Deborah (Phillip) McNeese, Donald (Joy) Groettum, Mary (Joseph) Famiglietti, and Linda (Chris) Jones; cherished grandfather of Joseph, Jessica, William, Jonathan, Katelyn, Amanda, Benjamin, and Tiffany; great-grandfather of Bennett, Melanie, and Dorothy.
Visitation at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St. (Rt. 7), Falls Church, VA, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept 2. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept 3 at 11 a.m. Burial at National Memorial Park.
