Rita Claire Deneault

A long-time resident of Falls Church, VA, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, December 27, 2014. Beloved wife of Lt. Col. Roland J. Deneault for 68 years, loving mother of Jacqueline Deneault, Pauline Weirath (Chuck), Diane Deneault Guinter (Stephen), Richard Deneault, and Michael Deneault (Susan), grandmother of 9, many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.

Rita was born in New Bedford, MA to Albert and Louise Audette. She married Roland, followed him through his Air Force military career, stateside and abroad, that brought him to the Pentagon over 55 years ago. They lived and retired in Falls Church. She worked as a Sales Associate for Lord & Taylor for over 25 years. Her favorite pastimes were gardening and volunteering for Capital Caring Consignment Center in Falls Church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10 a.m., at Saint James Catholic Church, 905 Park Avenue, Falls Church, VA, 22046. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
