Raymond Everett Donaldson “Buddy” passed away surrounded by his wife and three daughters on December 5, 2022 at the age of 68. Buddy fought long and hard after being diagnosed with liver cancer in 2020. He was a lover of the outdoors, and a creative craftsman and innovator, but above all he adored his wife, children and grandchildren. Buddy touched the lives of all of those who met him with a generosity and charisma that was contagious. He is survived by his wife Cynthia “Summer” Donaldson, and his three daughters, Meg Donaldson Parker, Heather Donaldson Anderson and Amy Donaldson, and his brother Robert Donaldson. He is also survived by three grandchildren. The family will receive family and friends on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 5 until 8 p.m. at National Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA. A funeral mass celebrating his life will be held the following day on Tue. December 13 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Falls Church. A burial will follow at National Memorial Park Cemetery.
