Rachel Dolores Puckett

Dolores was born in Washington, DC to Evelyn and Thomas White on April 22, 1941. She married her lifelong partner Paul Puckett on September 24, 1960 in Washington, DC.

She worked as an elementary school administrative assistant for 27 years at Westlawn Elementary School. Dolores also volunteered at Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital and Culpepper Garden retirement community. The residents of Culpepper Garden were always entertained by her "critters" for all the holidays.

Dolores was a devoted member of Boulevard Baptist and then United Baptist Church in Annandale and sang in both choirs wither her husband Paul. She was president of the United Baptist Choir for many years.

She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed her annual vacation to Holden Beach, NC. Dolores loved watching her Washington sports teams and Virginia Tech football. Her grandsons were her pride and joy.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Thomas White.

She is survived by her husband Paul Richard Puckett, son Paul Reese Puckett (Stacy), and grandsons Jason Ryan Puckett and Connor Reese Puckett.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 8th at United Baptist Church. Visitation is to start at 10 am, followed by funeral service at 11 am, followed by a graveside service at National Memorial Park at 1 pm.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or United Baptist Church, 7100 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003.
