Phyllis Lea Pickinpaugh

Phyllis Lea (Parsons) Pickinpaugh, 75 died Monday at Georgetown University Hospital. She was the loving wife of Lynn L. Pickinpaugh.
Phyllis was born in Hooker, Oklahoma, and was raised and educated in New Mexico, and later in Riverton, Wyoming. She graduated from Riverton H.S. and shortly afterwards married, to Lynn on July 2, 1954. They lived in the Casper Wyoming area for several years before moving to the Northern Virginia area in 1968. They settled in Falls Church, before moving to Centreville in 1995.
Phyllis worked for the former Shannon and Luchs Real Estate Office in Falls Church for several years, and also worked as office manager for Dr. Robert Stack DDS, and orthodontics in Vienna. She most enjoyed her time at home as mother and homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening and travelling. She was a long time member of the Way of Faith Church in Fairfax, where she was known as one of the most loving persons; a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and dedicated to her Church and its fellow members.
Besides her husband Phyllis is survived by 3 daughters Linda wife of Kevin Garrahan, Lori, wife of James Thorpe, and Lisa wife of Scott Seeberger, also leaves 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and a brother Steven R. Parsons.
Funeral will be held Saturday June 9, at 1 p.m. at the Way of Faith Church 8800 Arlington Blvd., Fairfax, Va. Visiting hours will be Friday 5 to 8 p.m. at the National Funeral Home,7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, Va. 22042.
