Philip James Raley, 76, of Pheasant Ridge Senior Living Center in Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Born on January 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Irving J. Raley and Rosalie A. Kennedy Raley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Raley. He graduated from American University in 1972 with undergraduate degree in Marketing and Economics. He retired in 1995 from the United States Government after 35 years as a program analyst. He recently moved to the Pheasant Ridge Senior Living Center.
Surviving are his sister, Alice Raley Phillips (Tom), of Wirtz; a brother, Stephen George Raley (Pat), of Taneytown, Md.; a close friend, Jennifer Cullum; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. Following the visitation, funeral mass will be in Arlington.
