

Paulette was born in Brooklyn, New York to Margaret Grunfeld and Joseph Peltz on May 30, 1954. She earned her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Binghamton and her law degree from American University. She married Paul D. Holtberg on July 21, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York.
She had a long and distinguished legal career. She worked as an attorney for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for 4 years following completion of her law degree. She was an associate at the law firm of Mahn, Franklin and Goldberg for 2 years and senior associate at Deso, Greenberg and Thomas for 2 years. She was Corporate General Counsel at Western Development Corporation and later Vice President and Corporate General Counsel at The Mills Corporation for 7 years. Paulette was Senior Vice President and General Corporate Counsel at Charter Oaks Partners for 7 years. She was Assistant Division Counsel at Vornado/Charles E Smith for 4 years.
Paulette was a member of the bar in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She was affiliated with the Association of Corporate Counsel and Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Counsel Association. She served on the Advisory Board of the Georgetown University Law School Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute and was a board member of the National Kidney Foundation and a member of the PKD Foundation’s United on the Hill 2010 Advisory Campaign.
Paulette is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Joseph.
Paulette is survived by her husband, Paul, son, Alexander, and sisters, Winnette and Lorraine.

A memorial service for Paulette will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at National Funeral Home with Rabbi Ashley Barrett of the Northern Viginia Hebrew Congregation presiding. Burial and a graveside service will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at King David Memorial Gardens.
