Patricia Lilly Kerrigan

Patricia Lilly Kerrigan, 73, of Bethesda, passed from this life on June 27, 2012. She was the , devoted wife to Dr. James Kerrigan for 32 years, taking care of him with his advanced Parkinson’s until his recent death on June 19, 2012.

She was an amazing mother to her two daughters, Sabrina Ballard of Mt. Hope, WV, and Shelly Whitmer (Bo) of Midland, VA; a loving daughter to her mother, Irene Waddell of Frederick, MD; a wonderful sister to Martha Butts (Bob) of Myersville, MD; and a loving, devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren, Anthony, Abby, Olivia, Jessie, and three great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by one stepson, Jim Kerrigan (Kim) of Fort Meyers, FL; two stepdaughters, Maureen Guste (Billy) of New Orleans, LA, and Kelly Dex (Buddy) of Rockville, MD; six step grandchildren, Jennifer, Colleen, Julie, Billy, John, Betsy, and 14 step great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church, VA, on Sunday, July 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat Kerrigan’s memory can be made to The American Lung Association, National Headquarters, 1301 PA Ave., NW, Ste. 800, Washington, DC 20004, (202) 785-3355, www.lung.org/donate/
