Omar was most proud of his three sons Zachary, 23, Aidan and Benjamin, both 17. He was overjoyed that his oldest son, Zack, was following in his footsteps and studying computer science at Virginia Tech.
Aidan was also following in his father's footsteps by having a passion for cooking and planning to go to culinary school and become a chef. Lastly, but not least, he loved attending his son, Ben's, sporting events and football games and wanted to see him achieve his dream of playing college football. Omar loved his family and enjoyed playing cards with his brother Med and other friends and family. He had a way of making people laugh and had many friends.
Omar was diagnosed with lung cancer in November 2019 and thought he had beat this horrible disease until he was told that it had metastasized to his brain in July 2022. He was able to take his sons to Morocco for a month in the summer of 2021 and had many great memories that he cherished. He will forever be remembered in our hearts. We love you Omar
