Olga Esther Rojas reunited with her late husband, Antolin Rojas, on March 11, 2021. Her love and memories will be cherished forever in the hearts of her children: Raul, Angelica, Charo, Flor de Maria, and Jacqueline; her children-in-law: Oscar Sr., Jesus Manuel, Elizabeth; her grandchildren: Shannon, Amy, Oscar Jr., Ryan, Jacqueline, Dominique, and Lizbeth; her great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.
Olga was born on February 14, 1933 in Huancayo, Junin, Peru. She married the love of her life, Antolin, in La Oroya, Peru. As a young girl, Olga enjoyed playing volleyball and the outdoors. Olga and Antolin created a beautiful family and settled in Lima, Peru. As a brave and strong couple, Olga and Antolin decided to move to the US. While raising five children, Olga pushed through social norms and became a hardworking woman in the retailing industry for Neiman Marcus. She was always so proud of her work. As she got older, she would spend her days at senior centers. She would love to play bingo and crossword puzzles with her friends.
Olga’s children remember her as a teacher, a best friend, and a confidant. She always supported them and instilled that they are capable of anything they put their mind to.
Olga was a very warm and welcoming woman. Olga loved to have family and friends at her home; thus she always ensured that she and her home were always looking beautiful. In addition, Olga is remembered for the big, delicious meals she would make for her family and friends.
She will always be remembered as a strong, loving, and joyful woman, but most importantly, as a mother.
The Rojas family would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for all the love we have received in these difficult times. We would also like to thank Murphy Funeral Home and Fairfax Memorial Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St. in Falls Church.
