She was born in Yangon, Myanmar to the late Ei Khong and Yin Mya on February 16, 1952. She married Myo Myint shortly before graduating from Rangoon Institute of Technology where she studied chemical engineering. They celebrated 43 years together on December 1st before her passing. Upon graduation she became one of the few successful and hardworking businesswomen at that time in Myanmar. She owned Sabai Plastics Manufacturing Factory with more than 20 employees. She had an exceptional mind for creative designs and business. In 2002, she and Myo Myint sacrificed for their daughters’ education by leaving behind successful careers and beloved friends and families and moved to US.
Nwe Nwe Aye was a beloved mother, wife, and daughter. She was sincerely regarded by many friends as kindhearted, generous, understandable and forgiving. In her spare time, she loved cooking many delicious Burmese dishes and shared with friends and family. Since her teenage years, her unwavering faith in Buddhism and passion for traveling took her to various temples and pagodas throughout Myanmar.
She is survived by her husband, Myo Myint, her two daughters, Drs. Myo Pale Aye and Myo Sabai Aye, her two sons-in-law, Anuj Sainju and Dr. Frank Chen, her grandson, Everest Aye Sainju, and her siblings, Dr. Zaw Win, Dr. Htun Min, Aung Thu, and Kyaw Zin, and Myint Myint Swe.
The family of Nwe Nwe Aye would like to thank her extended family, friends, and physicians who provided unexceptional care and support during this difficult journey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday June 2nd 2021 at National Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA and followed by cremation.
