Myong Won Rhee was born in Gwangwon-do, South Korea to father, Wan Suk Oh, and mother, Jung Joong Suk, on July 28, 1934. She went to school at Hwacheon. She married Richard Chong-Un Rhee on October 3, 1966 in Inchon, South Korea.
She worked as a secretary for the United States Army for over 20 years before immigrating to the United States. Mostly, she worked as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Myong Won Rhee is preceded in death by son, Michael Rhee, and brothers, Ye Chol Oh, Sin Chol Oh, and Yi Chol Oh.
Myong Won Rhee is survived by husband, Richard Rhee; children, Jennifer Rhee and Steven Rhee; brother, Chong Chol Oh; and grandchildren, Brendon Kim and Meesue Kim.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on May 2, 2024 at the National Funeral Home at National Memorial Park with Reverend Younghoon Cho of McLean Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at National Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Dignity Memorial.
