Mitali Saha was born in Bihar, India to Amar Nath & Maya Saha on September 12, 1967. She did her schooling at Calcutta Girls’ High School and received her Bachelor’s from Loreto House Kolkata, Master’s in Psychology from Calcutta University and Master’s in Information Technology from University of Maryland. She married Snehansu (Paltan) Saha on January 21, 1991 in Kolkata, India.
She was loved by all for her dignity, her cheerful disposition, her sense of humor,
infectious smile, warm heart and her amazing organizing capability. A gathering was never complete without Mitali. An accomplished musician, Mitali performed at many prestigious programs including performing with Salim-Sulaiman (Bollywood music directors/singers) at DC Constitution Hall. Mitali was a finalist in the USA version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa competition. She also performed at various Sanskriti and other community events. She was the founder of Taalim School of Music. She was a past Secretary of Rotaract International. Mitali held respectable office at the US government. Mitali was an active member of Sanskriti and also actively participated in the North American Bengali Conference (NABC) each time it was hosted by Sanskriti.
Mitali was a loving wife and a devoted mother. Mitali is survived by her husband, Snehansu (Paltan) Saha, her sons Souvik and Shourjo, her mother Maya Saha, her brother-in-law Sudhansu Saha, her sister-in-law Rama Saha, her brother Amitabha Neil Ray, sister, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and their families
in India.
She was loved by all who interacted with her and had the good fortune of knowing her. She will be sorely missed. May her soul rest in peace.

Funeral services will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 31 at National Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia (7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042)
