Lewis Swartz Orndorff

Lewis Swartz Orndorff, 95, of Alexandria died on Monday, March 18, 2013 at his home. He was a Coast Guard World War II veteran and retired from Naval Air Systems Command after 33 years of service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.). During his career and after retirement he worked as an electrician and plumber helping his church and many people over the years. He was a charter member of First Christian Church, Falls Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Georgie E. Orndorff; his five children, Charles L. Orndorff (Beth), David A. Orndorff (Karen), Walter H. Orndorff, Loretta M. Sanderson (Roger) and Jeanette E. Orndorff; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 AM at First Christian Church, 6165 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church. A visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, Falls Church.
