Kelley grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia where she attended Rippon Middle School and graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School in 1989. She competed and excelled in track and field at both schools and later competed in State Championship events.
After high school she went to Wade College in Dallas, Texas and earned her degree in Interior Design in 1992.
Afterwards she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she spent the majority of her adult life. Just as she adopted Texas as her home, Texas adopted her as one of their own.
After an unfortunate injury in late 2000 left her paralyzed, she found an inner strength that was truly inspirational. When others would have given up, she strived to become an even better person with an amazing drive and became involved with many different charities.
She eventually moved back to Virginia to be close to family and reconnected with lifelong friends.
She got a job at Flooring America and loved her job so much that she considered her employers and colleagues as family.
After several years of hospitalizations, injuries, infections, and spinal degeneration, her strength was no longer enough and she was taken from us way too soon.
Rest well Kelley and look over us that love you so much.
