Harbhajan Kaur

With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you about the passing of Mrs. Harbhajan Kaur (85), wife of Sardar Daljit Singh Chhabra. Her journey began in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan on November 5, 1935 and she completed her earthly voyage on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at home in Maryland, USA peacefully surrounded by family. She was a devoted Gursikh and a respected member of the Sikh community. After partition, the family moved to Delhi and she continued her school and college education in Simla and then earned an MA in English from Delhi University. After completing her education she took up teaching as a career and retired as a professor of English Literature at SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University.

She will be dearly missed by:
