Gedion B. Nkojo

Gedion Nkojo, a devoted Husband, dedicated Father, proud Grandfather, caring Brother, committed Uncle, respected Leader and dear Friend to so many throughout the world. Gedion Nkojo was a giant of his generation and lived a long, full life of service to country and family with demonstrated commitment to progress on the continent of Africa. He spent a majority of his professional life in leadership roles at the World Bank, stationed in countries around the world including Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe and others. In his roles he often had the opportunity for an audience with Heads of State and World Leaders alike. Many of these meetings he remembered through photographs prominently displayed throughout his home. Prior to his longstanding years with the World Bank, he served as the Governor of the Bank of Uganda. During his retirement he enjoyed his time with his wife Juliet, children and grandchildren in McLean, Virginia. He was an avid runner throughout his life and well into his retirement years. He was meticulous student of world affairs and was known to share a spirited account of his personal experiences with the younger generation.
