Elizabeth Hebb Terrett

Elizabeth Hebb Terrett of Selbyville, DE formerly of Fairfax, VA died on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her home. Loving wife of 61 years to Stuart T. Terrett, III, devoted mother of Nancy Lynn Terrett and Stuart Terrett, IV, cherished grandmother of Gerard "Jamie" Simmons (Melissa), Stephen Simmons, Stuart Hunter Terrett (Kate ), David Andrew Terrett, Wesley Stuart Harrington and Taylor Marie Harrington; 2 great grandchildren Jackson Wright and Cole Thornton Simmons, sister of Walter M. Hebb, Jr. She is predeceased by her parents Walter and Marie Hebb, daughters Marjorie Ann Terrett and Suzanne Marie Harrington and grandson Dylan Harrington.

Betsy was born in Washington, DC and moved with her family to their new home on 49th Street NW in 1935. She lived there until her marriage in 1953 attending St. Ann's school, Immaculata high school and Junior College. She then worked for Security Bank at 15th and K street NW as a new accounts receptionist until she was expecting her first child. Betsy's personality made her the perfect fit for that job and she enjoyed her work very much.

Relatives and friends are invited to Betsy's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolf Trap Rd., Vienna, VA Wednesday, November 5 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association or American Heart Association.
