Dan Khang Lam, 50, passed away Thursday November 6, 2014 at George Washington University Hospital in Washington D.C. following a brief illness. He was the loving husband to Tracy Lam (Quang Khanh Trang) for 20 years.
Dan was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1983. He graduated from University of Arizona in 1988 and worked for IBM in Rochester, Minnesota where he met his wife Tracy. They married in 1994 and settled in Virgina. A senior manager at CSC for over 18 years, he enjoyed his work very much with his personality and passion for research. Dan loved camping with his family. An avid runner, he finished the Marine Corps Marathon with ease. Dan is beloved among his friends and well-known within the Vietnamese charity community.
Besides his wife Tracy, he is survived by son Brandon Nghia Phuoc Lam, son Justin Nghia Tin Lam, daughter Erika Kha Vy Lam, and son Nathan Nghia Lam; he is also survived by his mother Dua Thi Nguyen. He was the beloved brother of Linh My Lam, Le My Lam, Hy Khang Lam, Huong My Lam, Luong Khang Lam, Thai Khang Lam, and Ha My Lam.
