We, at Outer Banks Presbyterian Church were saddened to hear that Anita passed away on May 3rd.  We just found out yesterday through a friend.

Anita was loved for her friendliness, dedication, and as a member of the choir.

Our prayers are with her family and friends.

I will be forever grateful to God for the love and support Anita gave to Aunt Carol (Crabbe). She was heaven-sent and truly Carol's best friend in life. Rest in peace, Anita.

Anita, your laugh, jokes and humor will not be forgotten.  We laughed and we cried together. The lunch bunch at Oakton High School could write a book.  You will be missed and so grateful that Carol Henry , you and me continued our friendship into retirement.  You were a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. Until I see you again my friend rest in peace.

I am so sorry to have found out that Anita has passed. We became quick friends at Burke rehab center when she and my mother shared rooms. She was witty and very intelligent woman but also so kind and big hearted. We didn't know her long but we would visit after my mother came home. We will miss her a whole lot. RIP Ms. Anita you will be missed.


A wonderful lady, RIP. Anita and I worked together at Chrysler Motors, Washington Zone Office. I never laughed so hard as one day at lunch when Anita was telling a story about a trip to the beach!

Anita you were my best friend. I’ve known you for 40yrs. You introduced Bo to me. We shared so many many laughs. So many great times at the beach. You introduced us to the Outer Banks. It’s been wonderful watching your children growup and give you so many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. It’s been so painful to see you so sick for so long. Take those wings and fly high sweetheart. I love you and miss you with all my heart❤️❤️❤️❤️

Anita and I grew up together from the time we were children riding tricycles. She always said that I was the only sister she ever had, because she didn’t have any brothers or sisters. I loved her like she was my sister; she was a maid of honor in my wedding. 

My grandest memory is the 60th birthday party she threw, at her home in Vienna. It was the biggest and best party of my life, with my family, her family and friends galore. 

Anita will definitely be missed and I will always love her, just as I will continue to love her family. My prayers go out to all of them.


I'm so sorry to hear about Anita. She has been a part of my family for as long as I can remember.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her kind nature. She was a sweet ladyand I will always remember her for her love of life. She had a special place in our family. She will be truly missed.
