Albert Ernest Hardesty

Hardesty, Albert Ernest, 94, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born in Erwin, WV on September 28, 1920, to Perry L. and Mary Hardesty. He was a WWII veteran (U.S. Army) who served in the North African and European Theatres. He is survived by his second wife, Genevieve, his children, melody, Michael (Sussy), and Christopher (Lesley), four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, step-children, many relative and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Myrtle M., and son, Ron. Friends and family will be received at murphy Funeral Home, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA on Friday, January 2, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, at 12 p.m. with interment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
