William S. Whalen

An avid sports fan and participant he enjoyed many years of retirement and leisure in Florida and Rhode Island. He was a former salesman and owner of Hill’s Office Supply Co. in Pawtucket and Middletown.

He was the son of the late Edward M. and Elsie (Hill) Whalen of Fall River. He leaves behind his wife Veronica A. (Clark) Whalen of No. Providence, a brother Charles Whalen of Naples, FL. a sister in law Vivian, wife of the late Edward M. Whalen of Tempe AZ., a daughter Nancy J. Messier and husband Charles of Scituate, RI., son Clifford J. Whalen and wife Christine of Tiverton, RI., and son William Whalen Jr. of Cumberland, as well as four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Thurs. July 7, 2011 at 8 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by a funeral mass at 9 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Wed. 4-7PM.
