Born in Fall River, a son of the late William P. Smith, Jr. and Laura (Therrien) Smith, Billy was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1979. He worked as a Truck Driver for TOCO for 10 years, and at Trina in the shipping department for many years.
A member of the Benevolent Order of Elks, Lodge #118, Billy was an avid reader who enjoyed playing hockey, bowling, and trips to the casino. He was a die-hard Boston Bruins fan.
He is survived by four siblings, Karen Geary of Fall River, Brian Smith and his wife Sharon of Tiverton, Colleen Kalemkeridis and her husband John of Hanson, and Cathleen Gendreau and her husband Daniel of Lakeville; five nieces, Brianne, Lauren, Kelsey, Laura, and Elizabeth; and his longtime companion, Laurie Rebello of Westport.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Burial will be private. Visitation on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
