Born in Haverhill, a daughter of the late George and Alberta (Brockelbank) Snell she lived in Tiverton most of her life. A homemaker, she also worked in the kitchen at the former Sunderlands in Tiverton for over 10 years doing salads and desserts. She was a member of the Third Baptist Church since 1972, a member of the Ladies Bible Study and always attended its “50 Plus” events. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1943, she loved making quilts. She started a quilting club at the church and made quilts for shut-ins and Hasbro Hospital. Beloved by many, she will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Green enjoyed reading her bible and was an avid crossword enthusiast.
Surviving: two daughters: Lois Kelley of Cottonwood, AZ and Glenda Longe and her husband Lee of Stockbridge, GA, one son: Kent Willett and his wife Nancy of Poland Spring, ME and was mother of the late Douglas Willett, one sister: Natalie Mello and one brother: Donald Snell both of Tiverton, RI, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Bernard Snell and Loraine Ingargiola and was predeceased by three grandsons.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11AM in Third Baptist Church, 260 Stafford Road, Fall River. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Friday, July 6, 2012 from 5PM-8PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Third Baptist Church.
