Merna C. Renaud

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary (McLellan) White, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1943, she worked as a Legal Secretary for the law office of McGuire, Colias and Horwitz for over twenty years before retiring in 1988.

Mrs. Renaud was a communicant of Holy Name Church where she was a Lector and a member and Past President of their Women’s Guild. She was a member of the Holy Name School Board, the Holy Name Parish Council, the Catholic Women’s Club, Sacred Heart Seniors and the Fall River Art Association.

She was also a Girl Scout Leader for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew T. Renaud and his wife Louise, Paul T. Renaud all of Fall River; two daughters, Judith A. Renaud and her companion Charles Mitchell, Joyce C. Anderson and her husband Steven all of VA; one sister, Ardith A. Petrin; two grandchildren, Audrey and Adam Anderson and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas G., Raymond H., Walter H., and Alvin P. White, Audrey A. Shott and Carlene B. Plocica.

Her Funeral will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River.
