Mary G. Sewell

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Sweeney) Bradbury, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

A graduate of Durfee High School, she worked as the cafeteria manager at Matthew J. Kuss Middle School. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, and the Past President and District Vice President of the Fall River Emblem Club.

Mrs. Sewell dedicated many years to Friday night dinners at the Elks Lodge, where she participated and organized many musical events. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons: James F. Sewell and his wife Melissa of Whitehall, NY, William J. Sewell, Jr. and his wife Elibie of CT, one brother: William Bradbury and his wife Virginia of Swansea, close friend: Barbara Cleinman, eight grandchildren and three nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Hugh W. Sewell, sister of the late Helen Britland and mother in law of the late Diane Auclaire.

The family would like to especially thank Sue from Helping Hands Homecare, and the nurses at Catholic Memorial Home and Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd, Fall River. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd., Fall River, MA 02721. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
