Mary R. (Gomes) Rapoza, age 80, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, March 19, 2021. She was the wife of the late Robert Dewsnap.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Levi R. and Mildred M. (Vieira) Gomes. She worked as a personal care giver for Life Inc. for many years before her retirement in 1999. An avid gardener, she loved to dance, bowl and visit local yard sales.
She is survived by her two sons, John V. Pedro of Newport, RI, Steven Pedro and his wife Thuy of Fall River; one sister, Barbara Gomes of New Bedford and one granddaughter Ashley Pedro of Swansea.
Her private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place.
