Lucille J. Thibodeau

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Ernest and Flora (Blanchette) Boivin, she had been a resident of Tiverton since 1968.

In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and baking. She was an active communicant of St. Madeleine’s Church, where she was a member of their Women’s Club. Lucille had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing with her sister Claire on WSAR. Her best times spent were with her family on the pond. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Mark Thibodeau of Tiverton RI, Stephen Thibodeau and his wife Linda of Tiverton, Karen Robertson and her husband James of Bedford, NH and Brenda Medeiros and her husband Kevin of Fall River; two grandchildren; Kerri Medeiros and her husband Christopher of Tiverton, Korie Medeiros-Newbury and her husband Sean of Tiverton; four great-grandchildren, Haley Bouchard, Ashton Medeiros, Grayson Medeiros-Newbury, Carter Medeiros and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Claire Crepeau, Jeannette Matthews, Evelyn Dias, Rita Senechal, Norman, Roland, and Robert Boivin; she was the grandmother of the late Michael Concepcion and Crystal Ringuette.

The family would like to thank Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice of Middletown for the compassionate care given to Lucille while in their care.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the St. Madeleine’s Church, 35 Lake Rd., Tiverton. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.
