Born in Fall River, a son of the late Louis T. and Vilma A. (Monaco) Carr, he was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, worked in construction, and was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
Surviving in addition to his wife, one son; Chaz Carr of Westport, one daughter, Shayna Carr of Fall River, two grandchildren; Aaliyah and Lilah Carr, one sister; Lucy C. Murphy of Fall River, five brothers; Joseph L., James W., Jon V., and Vincent J. Carr all of Fall River and Michael Carr of Dearborn, MI., and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Thomas L. Carr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 6:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River. Visitation will be prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00PM. Burial will be private.
