Joyce F. Gagne

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John F. Allen Sr. and Vivian V. (Fairhurst) Allen, she was a longtime resident of Assonet, later moving to Berkley. Joyce was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1953.

Joyce loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the glue that kept it all together. The home was always filled with laughter and family gatherings. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking and baking. She also loved to travel with her beloved Albert, always spontaneous and never with a destination in mind.

In addition to her husband Albert, she is survived by her children JoAnn Pereira and her husband Louis of Assonet, David Gagne and his wife Lorrie-Ann of Assonet and James Gagne of Berkley; five grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Nicholas, Zachary and Kaitlyn; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Max; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John and Dean Allen.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the United Church of Assonet; 9 N Main St, Assonet, MA 02702.
