Born in Taunton a son of Julie A. (Donahue) Rezendes of Assonet and the late Marianno “Junior” Rezendes, Jr. he was a lifelong resident of Assonet.
An independent truck driver, he worked for 43 years for various companies including his own, John Rezendes Trucking and also KR Rezendes, JP Noonan, Stop and Shop and Soares Sanitation.
Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor he enjoyed fishing, competing in tractor pulls, and especially time he spent with his children. A member of the Teamsters Local 25 in Boston he was an I.C.C Carrier. An animal lover he took in countless strays and advocated for animal safety.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Marianna Rezendes and Marguerite Correia and her husband Jacob; one son, Michael Charbonneau; one granddaughter Magdalyn Correia, one brother, Daniel N. Rezendes and his partner Steven Chandler and several aunts and uncles, cousins, brother and sister in laws, and nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 11:00AM – 2:00 PM.
