Joan (Henry) D’Adamo, age 91, a proud life-long resident of Fall River passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Joan was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Agnes (Halpin) Henry, and the beloved wife of the late Antonio D’Adamo.
Joan is survived by three loving children, Joanne (Joe) of Barrington, RI, Paul (Lynn) of Hampstead, NH and Anthony (Jonna) of Barrington. She was the cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren, Ainsley (Adrian), Elise (Aaron), Joseph (Rachel), Alan, Patrick, Alexa, and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Emily; one sister, Peggy Kenney (Bill) of Plymouth as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anne Burke, Eleanore McDonald and Joseph, Thomas, and Edward Henry.
Joan had a lively, adventurous spirit and passion for life. Joan’s bags were always packed and ready “at a moment’s notice” for a day trip, dinner, or travel. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, and her most treasured role was as a Grandmother, sharing her love, encouragement, and support. We all carry a piece of Joanie with us, in her memorable sayings, love for travel, exercise, beach walks, her sweet tooth, and dinner conversations. She was compassionate and always tried to lift up others. Her vibrant spirit will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ansi Pillai, Dr. Noris, and to Southcoast VNA.
