Janice Marie Morrell

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Oliver and Mary (O’Meara) Larrivee she was a longtime resident of the city and of West Palm Beach for 25 years.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1946, she enjoyed walking, reading and being outdoors in the sun. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church, Fall River and Mary Immaculate Church in West Palm Beach, FL.

She is survived by her children, Nancy A. Sullivan of Assonet, Michael F. Morrell and his wife Debbie of Fort Meyers, Suzanne Morell and her husband Bruce of Fall River, Stephen A. Morrell and his wife Laurie of Chester, CT, Gail E. Kennedy and her husband Jim of Chepachet, RI and Timothy O. Morrell and his wife Dawn of Westport; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Christine “Ruggie” Morrell and sister of the late Edward Larrivee, Ruth Leduc, Oliver Larrivee, Claire Shea and Leo Larrivee.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
