Janice Machado

Born in Fall River, the daughter of Normand “Guy” Dufresne of Fall River and the late Stella (Faucher) Dufresne, she had been a lifelong resident of the city.

A graduate of Mount St. Mary’s High School, she attended Diman Dental. She worked as a Telephone Operator for Verizon for 26 years before retiring in 1998 and prior to that worked at Rosenthal Chiropractic’s.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son; Christopher Souza of Fall River, one brother; Peter Dufresne of Westport, three grandchildren; Devin, Harry, and Teagan Souza and one great-grandchild; Gabriel Souza and many nieces and nephews.

Her Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 from 9AM to 11AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial private.
