Jane A. Horstkotte

Born in Detroit, MI, Jane was the daughter of the late Don C. and Gertrude (Turville) Arner and the sister of the late Doris Coury. She lived in Schenectady, NY for 65 years before moving to Dartmouth.

A graduate of Three Rivers High School in Three Rivers, MI, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Michigan in 1946 where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Delta sorority.

She is survived by two sons, James Edward Horstkotte and his wife Amy Goffman of Charlottesville, VA and Don Arner Horstkotte of Portland, ME, one daughter, Martha Desmond and her husband Daniel of Dartmouth, MA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kristina, Morgan and Fraser Desmond, Daniel, Jessica, Katherine and Anna Horstkotte and Meredith Sawtelle and two step-grandchildren, Louie and Molly Handler.
