James "Jim" B. Connolly

James B. Connolly (“Jim”), age 68, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Sheila (Charette) Connolly. Jim and Sheila shared a wonderful life full of happiness and had been married 47 years.

Born in Fall River, Jim was the son of the late Francis A. and Phyllis A. (Lyons) Connolly. Jim worked for Liberty Utilities as a foreman and heavy machine operator for over 40 years, retiring in 2014. An avid golfer, Jim belonged to the Montaup Country Club in Portsmouth, RI.

Jim was a devoted father to his two children, James Connolly and Samantha (Connolly) Lundstrom. He was an amazing father-in-law to Jamie Connolly and Thomas Lundstrom. Jim will be deeply missed by his three siblings, Frank A. Connolly, III, William F. Connolly and Mary Wilbur as well as by his nieces and nephews. In recent years, Jim took great pride in and adored being “Papa” to his three grandchildren, Liam Connolly and Olivia and Elise Lundstrom. Jim was a kind and generous man who will be missed beyond measure.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
