Jacquelyn J. Mello

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Arthur Borden, Sr. and Cora (St. Jean) Borden, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

She attended B.M.C. Durfee High School and worked at Shaw’s Supermarket. Prior to that, Mrs. Mello worked in the local area mills and was an avid New England sports fan.

She is survived by two daughters: Noreen (Vanasse) Lawrence and her companion Paul Borden, Robin (Vanasse) Levesque and her husband Michael all of Fall River, one brother: Arthur Borden, Jr. of FL, one sister: Barbara Marques of Fall River, twin grandsons: Jordan and Nathan Lawrence who she absolutely adored, and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Ralph and Russell Borden, and Lois Kershaw.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 6:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to Southcoast V.N.A., 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial private.
