Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John T. and Ann (Noonan) Hunt, she was a life-long resident of the city.
An avid traveler, Hazel especially enjoyed going on cruises and traveling to Hawaii. She and her late husband loved ballroom dancing weekly at the VFW on Shove Street in Fall River.
Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara (Arruda) Blanco and her husband Joseph Blanco of Marlborough, CT, one son Stephen Arruda and his fiancée Sheila Garrison of Tampa, FL, one sister, Sis. Barbara Hunt, RSM of Fall River, granddaughter Pamela (Viveiros) Andrade of Fall River, grandson Robert Viveiros of Fall River, grandson Stephen Arruda Jr of Fall River and grandson Joshua Blanco of Connecticut. Also 9 great grandchildren, two great great gandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Gary Arruda; grandmother of the late Lori Ann (Arruda) Sullivan and sister of the late John T Hunt, Esther (Hunt) Stephan, Ralph Hunt, Ruth Goulet, Ann Hunt, Dorothy Hunt and her twin brother Herbert Hunt.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, her visitation, funeral mass and burial will be private for family and friends.
