Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Raymond P. and Margaret (Radcliffe) Murphy. She was a 1942 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, a communicant of Holy Name Church and a former member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Guild. She was a volunteer for several years as a leader for the Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls at Sacred Heart Parish. Grace was also a paraprofessional for many years in the Fall River Public Schools.
Grace loved spending time with her family, music, dancing and the Celtics. She also had a sweet tooth second to none. Grace will be remembered as wearing any shade of pink, even American Beauty.
She is survived by three children, Joy Harrington and her husband Kevin of Fall River, John F. Kenyon and his wife Colleen of Fall River and Brian J. Kenyon and his wife June of Novato, CA; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Shelly, Erin, Chris, Sean, Jonathan, Nicholas, and Brittany as well as eleven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Arinda Madden, Doris Delisle and Raymond P. “Bud” Murphy.
Private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., SW120, Boston, MA 02215.
