Gabriel A. Sylvia, Jr., “Gabe,” age 50, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his residence. Born in Fall River, a beloved son of Catherine (Creeden) Sylvia of Fall River and the late Gabriel A. Sylvia, Sr., he was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1991, he attended Bristol Community College. He was self-employed and a member of the Fall River Police Auxiliary.
Musically talented, he enjoyed playing the guitar, keyboard and clarinet. He was also a talented artist who liked to draw and an accomplished chef who enjoyed cooking for his family. He enjoyed taking trips to the casino, where he would skillfully play a hand of blackjack or poker.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Ashley Pimentel and her husband Tyler of Black Canyon City, AZ, Tatsiana G. Sylvia of Buford, GA; three brothers, Robert Dias and his wife Sheila, Anthony Sylvia and former Mayor of the City of Fall River, Attorney William A. Flanagan all of Fall River as well as several nieces and nephews. Gabriel was also the Godfather to his nephew Brady Dias.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River. In loving memory of Gabe, please do a good deed in the community in his honor.
